Ankle protective shoes for electricians, with the upper made of water-repellent full grain cowhide leather, with breathable polyamide lining, which is abrasion resistant and quickly soaks and lets out moisture. The anatomic METATARSAL SUPPORT GEL insole is made of soft scented polyurethane and is covered with fabric. The insert made of soft gel in metatarsal part of the insole guarantees stability and comfort when walking over uneven surfaces. The anti-slip sole is made of a combination of polyurethane and nitrile rubber, has a high level of electrical resistance, it is oil and petroleum resistant, it can withstand short contact with surfaces of up to 300°C (up to one minute long contact) and it has a shock absorber in the heel area. These shoes have a metal free TOP RETURN protective toe-cap, as well as a metal free APT Plate puncture resistant midsole with a high level of electrical resistance. They are 100% metal free. The sole on this model has higher electrical resistance - 18.000 V for one minute, in dry conditions; > 2.000 Mohm (the minimal requirement according to EN ISO 20345 is > 1.000 Mohm), leakage current 0,25 mA (the minimum required by CAN/CSA Z 195-09 is < 1,00 mA). These shoes fall under the category of secondary personal protective equipment, which is used as an addition to primary (mandatory) PPE.
