Albo protects Drumska strela again
Formula Student is the most prestigious world engineering student competition, attended by over 600 university teams from around the world. The aim of the competition is to educate and develop students through the design and development of a racing vehicle, and the success of the team is evaluated by experienced engineers from the world of auto industry and auto-moto sport. This competition has been in existence since 1979, and was first held at the University of Houston, USA. The first Serbian formula student team Drumska strela was founded in 2010 and since then has been recording more and more successes in international competitions every year. This association was founded by students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, and in the following years they joined the students of the Traffic, Electrical, Technical, Metallurgical, Economic, Physical, Forestry, Architectural, and Mathematical faculties as well as the Military Academy. The Drumska strela team represents the University of Belgrade and Serbia at the most prestigious world competition for students. Already at the very beginning, their vehicle impressed directors of large companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Airbus, who visited their stand at one of the competitions. Albo also supported these successful young people this year in a way that is most important to us, which is to protect their health during work. Visiting our company, a member of the aerodynamics team, Nikola Nikolić, noted that this year, for the production of cars, use composite materials, which are characterized by lower weight, which will contribute to the higher speed of the vehicle. Nikola also noted that due to the use of composite materials they have to take special care of the use of respiratory protection. Additionally with protecting the respiratory organs in the form of half-masks with filters, members of the Drumska strela team will also use our coats, protective gloves, industrial towels, degreasing agents, first aid pharmacies. We are proud of this team of future engineers, their commitment, talent, as well as the awareness of the importance of using personal protective equipment. We believe that another successful year is awaiting them and we are pleased that Albo, like the previous five years, will contribute to achieving this success faster and safer.
